Kristi Noem
says she's not a Tea Party Candidate...but once again,
the facts get in the way:
- She campaigned as a Tea Party candidate in the primary, seeking and accepting the endorsement of Tea Party group Citizens for Liberty.
- The day after her primary victory, Noem flew to Rapid City for a rally with her Tea Party supporters.
- She's courted the Tea Party vote repeatedly throughout the campaign, including meetings with Tea Party groups here, here, and here.
- The leader of Citizens for Liberty said that she is planning a Tea Party rally in South Dakota with Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, and Kristi Noem.
- Just this week, the New York Daily News called Noem a "Tea Party Darling" and "The new Tea Party Star." They added, "Move over, Christine O' Donnell."
I have seen the influence of the big money groups coming into S Dakota. The ads are all over the airwaves. The people of South Dakota deserve better than Kristi (Speedy) Noem. I shudder to think she might get elected and follow the footsteps of Bill Janklow, we don't need to lose another citizen to a reckless congressperson who thinks they are above the law!
ReplyDeleteFrightening to think special interest groups like the Tea Partyers and others could buy their way into South Dakota, but they are sure giving it everything they've got to do just that. Don't sell your vote to such foolishness folks. We have the most respectable person we could hope for already representing us. We will be the laughingstock of the country if we send Noem to D.C. Out-of-state special interest groups will pay to get her there, and we'll pay for having sent her there. Show the country we can't be fooled by high-priced lies. Vote Stephanie!
