FACTCHECK.ORG Calls Noem's Attacks 'Desperate' and 'Wrong'

FACTCHECK.ORG CALLS NOEM’S ATTACKS ‘DESPERATE’ AND ‘WRONG’

Non-partisan Group Finds Serious Flaws in Noem's Campaign Message, Urges Voters to "Beware"

(Sioux Falls, SD)-FactCheck.org, a non-partisan "consumer advocate" for voters, is condemning ads attacking Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, calling them inaccurate and "wrong."

Throughout the campaign, Kristi Noem and her out-of-state backers have run ads claiming that Herseth Sandlin voted with Nancy Pelosi over 90% of the time.  Factcheck.org analyzed ads making that claim, including the current ad running in South Dakota and calling them "wrong again and again."  The group warns, "voters beware"  because Noem and the national partisans supporting her campaign "ignore" facts that don't fit their message.

FactCheck.org reviewed the numbers being used to make this accusation and found that Noem’s math is simply wrong.  The analysis further says that these claims “overstate the incumbents’ support for Pelosi’s agenda.”

The analysis also found that many Democrats vote with the Republican Leader John Boehner over a majority of the time.

In addition, The Hill newspaper reported earlier this week that John Boehner and Tea Party leader Michele Bachman vote with Nancy Pelosi a majority of the time saying that these numbers “throw into sharp relief the statistic that campaign ad makers use more than any other to cast opponents as ideological rubberstamps.”

  1. non partisan yea right. I know I won't see this post because you don't allow any posts that are contrary to the garbage that you have been handing out this entire campaign cycle. Too bad you don't have Kristi's confidence and let anyone post what they would like.
